Trisquel 10 not dist-upgrading to 11 (not related to Linux-Libre)

Hey,

OK, as in a previous thread it was at first apparent that Trisquel 10 wasn't upgrading to 11 due to issues with the Linux-Libre repo, after clearing that that was not the issue, I thought it would be cleaner and better for me or anyone else facing similar issues, to open a separate thread.

From some testing I have been doing, the log (var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log) seems to point out some packages that start installing justfine and then some start to give issues. Namely packages such as:

ayatana-indicator-* (several ones)
python3-* (several ones)
trisquel (the metapackage apparently)

While I did download the aramo packages by hand here in the website and managed to install a few of them, some like libglib2.0-0_2.72.1-1_amd64.deb complain not really about a dependency but about breaking a bin file. Stuck there, not sure how to move on from here.

I have tried already disabling all third-party repos, as well as I removed several packages that were older and I believe would not have a "corresponding" package in a newer version of Trisquel. Still, get the same result.

I also tried in "Software updater" changing to have it check not only for LTS but for "any" new version, hoping it would help. Didn't help.

I would ask the community here what next steps I might take to try and get the successful upgrade. I can't install a fresh 11, and really prefer to just keep everything as is only with the upgrade for security purposes.

Thanks!

I have upgraded in this way in the terminal:
sudo sed -i 's/nabia/aramo/' /etc/apt/sources.list && sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

And all was perfect.

Trisquel 10 is virtually EOL, it is discouraged to keep using it as there won't be security updates by the end of the month.

Please update at your earliest convenience.
