

What is Cinnamon
Cinnamon Desktop, a fork of the GNOME desktop, provides certain useful resources for Cinnamon. Most importantly, it contains the schemas for most of the Cinnamon components, for example, 'org.cinnamon.desktop.screensaver'. It also has a small library that provides certain functions used in, for example, the Cinnamon Screensaver.

Cinnamon is a fork from GNOME Shell. It provides the user interface, such as panels, hot corners, menus, etc. The user interface is written in JavaScript, while its core libraries are written in C.

Installation
In the terminal Cinnamon can be installed with the following command:
